S. African Nile Crockadile

Story of Capturing this Image

As close as this capture appears, is exactly the distance from my face.  All that separated us was a school fence that went 2 ft down into swamp bed.  As the belly expands and it starts to hiss, that is when they leap for you in hopes for a meal.  As  this crockadile leaped for me (literally pushing the camera's lens hood into my face  is the mila-second before when I snapped this shot.  This was taken at a private reptilian farm in Tampa, Fl.  Two men behind me told me after shooting this, I went from a kneeling position 3 ft straight up in the air and 3 ft back.  That type of movement was from pure adrenaline alone.
